Valencia Basket opens its Super Tour visiting the court of Zenit St.Petersburg
Valencia Basket opens its series of four consecutive away-games visiting the court of one of the most solid teams in Europe, Zenit St. Petersburg, in a game corresponding to round 26 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (Thursday 25, 6:00 p.m., Sibur Arena, DAZN / Movistar dial 59).
The Taronja team will try to extend its positive inertia of results after chaining two wins at Fonteta against CSKA Moscow and Real Madrid against a rival that has become one of the great sensations of the Euroleague by deploying the best defense of the tournament.
In a clash of styles, Jaume Ponsarnau's men will try to impose the offensive proposal that has made him the second best attack in the competition against a team that is the second that allows the fewest points and the one that allows the fewest possessions in their games.
Visiting Saint Petersburg for the third season in a row, the Taronja squad has a 1-1 balance at this court and won last season in their only visit in the Euroleague by 81-86. With Joan Sastre returning to the squad a month after his muscle injury in the left thigh, Valencia Basket has traveled with an expedition of 13 players in which the only absence is that of point guard Guillem Vives due to his back problems. The taronja team currently occupies the tenth position in the Euroleague, with a balance of 13-12.
